Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical literacy skills in solving PISA-oriented questions on space and shape content in class XI MA Al-Hikmah. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 6 students of class XI MA Al-Hikmah Kajen with two students each in the high, medium and low ability categories. The instruments used are PISA-oriented questions on space and shape content and interview guidelines. The validity of the data used triangulation techniques by comparing the results of student work with the results of interviews. The data analysis technique was carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Students' answers were analyzed based on mathematical literacy ability. The results of this study indicate that high-ability students have been able to achieve communication skills, mathematization, representation, strategies for solving problems, using operations, symbol language, formal language, technical language, and reasoning giving reasons, while students with moderate abilities have not been able to demonstrate communication skills. strategies for solving problems, using operations, symbolic language, formal language, technical language, and reasoning, for low-ability students showing disabilities in each ability.
