Abstract

Analysis Of The Impact Of The Covid-19 Pandemic On The Economy In Surakarta (Case Study Of Surakarta City)Art in development has become part of the joints of life that are difficult to separate, whether in traditional music, modern music or contemporary music. Not only for entertainment, because traditional art music is a characteristic of certain regions and can influence people's point of view But with the conditions, the creative process begins to be somewhat limited because the Covid-19 pandemic has changed humans in various aspects. Different from health sector, corona virus has created great anxiety in the economic sector, especially for art workers in the music sector (music art workers) who are not guaranteed to be bound by contracts with large companies (labels). This study aims to determine the process of balancing an unstable economy into a stable one and how to cope with the economy during a pandemic for music art workers in Surakarta. The research used a field research type with a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used interviews and documentation. The results of data analysis explained that the Covid-19 pandemic that was endemic in Indonesia had an impact on art workers in the Surakarta area, especially the Putra New Erlangga art group and the Jovi Music School art school. If in the original state (before the pandemic) their business tended to run smoothly and there were many performance schedules and purchases of art products, during the pandemic the performance schedule was greatly reduced, even until they closed (delayed until an uncertain time) As an effort to maintain the existence of the Putra New Erlangga music group carry out various marketing efforts during the pandemic such as; more active in marketing via online through social media (instagram, face book, tokopedia, shopee) and other similar products to introduce traditional musical instrument craft products.
