Abstract

Independence is one of the characters that needs to be instilled in every learning process at school. This study aims to determine the determinants of student learning independence in digital communication and simulation subjects for class X SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. Researchers used quantitative associative methods and the research design used was non-experimental. The population in this study was 161 students of class X SMK Batik 2 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year. This study used a simple random sampling technique with a sample of 108 students. Data collection techniques with documentation, distributing questionnaires and conducting tests. The analytical method used is econometrics with multiple linear regression models. The results showed that: 1) intellectual intelligence obtained a sig value of 0.000 <0.05 so that it partially affected the learning independence variable for simulation subjects and digital communication for class X SMK Batik 2 Surakarta, 2) the emotional intelligence variable obtained a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning partially affect the variable of learning independence in simulation subjects and digital communication for class X SMK Batik 2 Surakarta, 3) spiritual intelligence obtained a sig value of 0.038 < 0.05 so it is significant, meaning that it partially affects the variable of learning independence in simulation subjects and digital communication for class X SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. Emotional intelligence (X2) has a more dominant influence (64%) than intellectual and spiritual intelligence.
