Sources of data are the results of interviews with school heads and physics subject teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. The results showed that (1) The learning planning carried out by the physics teacher in implementing the 2013 curriculum in the field of physics study in Class XI Thermodynamics Material at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar includes socialization, monitoring and planning of siabus and lesson plans. (2) Based on the research results it is known that at the implementation stage, the approach used by the physics teacher is a student-oriented or student-centered learning approach.
