Abstract

Visioner Leadership The Principal Of Junior High School 9 Surakarta In Quality Assurance Of Education During The Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to describe the role of the principal's visionary leadership. The research method uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique uses interactive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the principal's visionary leadership role was realized through 9 roles, namely as: direction setter, designer, change agent, coach, motivator, spokesperson, problem solver, work above standards, and as a model/examples. The most prominent role is as a determinant of direction, namely formulating the school's vision, mission, and goals, establishing policies and strategies and motivating and supporting the participation of all school members. The role as a designer and change agent is to design an independent Adiwiyata program. The role of spokesperson is to collaborate with external parties in order to improve school quality. The role of working above the standard is to prepare schools so that they are appropriate in organizing limited PTM in accordance with health protocols. The role as a model/standard example is manifested in the form of activities: providing examples of attitudes, behavior, and nobility of character.
