Abstract
Tofu industry subscribe tofu liquid waste about 20 millions m3 in a year. The purpose of this literature review is for reviewing literature that is related to efforts to reduce COD levels in tofu liquid waste. In this literature review the author uses articles that were sourced from SINTA and google schoolar with keywords COD in tofu liquid waste, tofu liquid waste and a method to reduce COD levels in tofu liquid waste. The data that has been collected, analysed, compared, are collated systematically and discussed. Efforts to reduce COD levels in tofu liquid waste are carried out by utilizing natural ingredients such as tamarind seeds, Chlorella sp, Typha latifolia, Azolla microphylla. The most effective reduction in COD levels is using Azolla microphylla which can reduce COD levels in tofu liquid waste up to 96%.
