Abstract
Stress in junior high school teenagers in running inline schools often occurs, therefore the ability to cope with stress strategies is needed. This study aims to explore strategies for dealing with stress in junior high school adolescence in carrying out online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The subjects used in this study used three junior high school students who were studying online and experienced stress during online learning. The sampling used purposive sampling. This research method uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, in the study reseacher used semi-structure interviews in data collections and used interview guide as a data collection tool. The interview data was carried out directly at the participant’s house as well as throught telephone media by looking at the situation and conditions. Data analysis in the study used interpretative phenomenologivcal analysis (IPA). The result of this study indicated the stress experiences by the participant’s stems from the task load, the stability contraints of internet acces, in addition to feeling boredom, anxiety and fear. The way to deal with stress is done by using a problem focused coping strategy, namely by doing a favorite hobby, palnning in learning, seeking information or help when feeling stressed, establishing relationships with friends and family.
