Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Application of reading at the beginning of 1st grade students A Elementary School Sibela Timur at the time of online learning. 2) Difficulties and solutions in the application of reading start-up students in the 1st grade of East Sibela State Elementary School during online learning. 3) Factors that affect reading at the beginning of students in grade 1 A elementary school in East Sibela state during online learning. In this study using qualitative research method, case study design. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and documentation. The validity of the data is obtained through source triangulation and engineering triangulation. The results of the research that has been done show that : 1) Application of reading the beginning of students in grade 1 A elementary school Sibela Timur at the time of online learning by introducing letters, teaching to read words, guiding and monitoring the smooth reading of the beginning and understanding of reading through videos and voice messages sent to whatsapp group class 1 A. 2) Difficulties in the application of reading beginnings during this online learning period is a teacher who stutters technology, Inadequate internet network, and students who feel bored, saturated and lazy, so that teachers provide solutions, namely cooperation between teachers, the procurement of wifi in schools and kemendikbud quotas, as well as the provision of encouragement to students and parents of students. 3) Factors that affect the reading of the beginning of grade 1 A students are the presence of internal factors and external factors.
