Abstract
Marketing mix is a set of controllable tactical marketing tools (product, price, distribution, promotion) that are combined by the company to produce the desired response in the target market. (Philip Kotler and Gary Armstrong, 1997: 48), for companies or institutions service mix marketing plus elements of human resources, infrastructure, and processes. The research aims: (1) to describe 1. to describe the implementation of the marketing mix in the PPDB system of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. (2) Describe the factors that support and hinder the implementation of the marketing mix in the PPDB system of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that SMA Batik 1 Surakarta carried out Marketing Mix activities in PPDB (New Student Admissions) activities, where the marketing mix consisted of product (product), price (price), place (place), promotion (promotion), Person ( HR), Physical Enfidence (infrastructure), process (process). In the implementation of PPDB, it turns out that schools experience obstacles, but because of the larger supporting factors, these obstacles can be overcome. The conclusion of this study is that of the 7 marketing mix activities that most attracted the public's interest when PPDB (New Student Admission) was implemented so that SMA Batik 1 Surakarta was successful and remained full quota in the midst of today's fierce competition, namely product, promotion (promotion), Physical Enfidence (infrastructure), process (process).
