Abstract
This study aims to find out and analyze 1) How is the online learning process at BA Aisyiyah Karangasem, 2) How is the role of parents in assisting online learning during the pandemic at BA Aisyiyah Karangasem, 3) the obstacles faced by parents in implementing online learning during this period. pandemic in BA Aisyiyah Karangasem. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and document studies. The data sources of this study were teachers and parents of class B BA Aisyiyah Karangasem. Validate the data using a validator expert. The validity of the data is done by triangulation of data sources, namely comparing and checking back the degree of confidence of an informant obtained. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed: 1) The online learning process at BA Aisyiyah Karangasem was carried out online. The teacher provides learning tools, the learning media used are WhatsApp and Youtube, which are held 2 times a week, learning using animated videos, and attendance which is applied by sending students work in the form of photos. 2) The role of parents when learning is brave, namely parents always help children in online learning at home, parents always give examples and correct explanations to children, besides that parents learn to learn, and besides that parents always help learn to learn, and parents always motivate their children when they are bored of studying at home. In these conditions, children need direct guidance and assistance from their parents as a substitute for teachers. 3) Constraints faced when learning online, namely the time for sending assignments are always hindered because parents work, children are often not focused, and the internet is an obstacle for parents in carrying out this online learning. As for the way that parents do in overcoming these problems, namely by registering children to tutoring, giving motivation to children to focus on learning.
