Abstract

This study aims to explain the use of e-learning-based learning media in fiqh subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Colomadu KaranganyarKaranganyar. This research was motivated by learning carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic which initially learned face-to-face then switched to online learning. Based on this, several problems were formulated, namely the use of good learning media in fiqh lessons and their advantages and disadvantages with the aim that teachers are expected to be able to make good and interesting learning media in order to make it easier for students to understand the teaching material. The type of research used in this research is field research. This research approach uses a phenomenological approach. In obtaining valid data to support the research, this study used the methods of observation, interviews and documentation to collect data. The data analysis technique used in this study uses data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and data verification. Then for the validity of the data, technique triangulation and source triangulation are used. The difference between this research and previous research is that this research was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, while the previous one was carried out during normal teaching and learning activities, then the object and place of this and previous research are also different places, and the learning media used in this study and previous studies are also different. in this study using Google Meet and Google Classroom, while previous studies used other media. Then the similarity of this research and previous research is that they both examine the learning media carried out at the junior-high school level. The conclusion of this study is that the e-learning media used in fiqh lessons are Google Meet which is used to explain the material, Google Classroom which is used to carry out discussions between teachers and students, and Whatss App is used to distribute teaching materials to students. And the use of e-learning-based learning media has advantages, namely; the availability of e-moderating facilities, obtaining structured teaching materials, making it easy for students to access lessons, unlimited sources and references, making it easier to hold discussions, changing the role of passive students to being active. While the drawbacks, namely; lack of interaction from teacher to student, learning process tends towards training rather than education, student learning motivation decreases, lack of educators who master the internet, not all places have internet facilities.
