Abstract

Teacher teaching experience is one of the factors in supporting the implementation of teaching and learning activities. The teaching experience possessed by a teacher determines the achievement of learning outcomes that will be achieved by students. The objectives of the study: (1) identify differences in teaching experience between 1-10 years and >10 years regarding self-perception of effective teaching; (2) measuring the difference between 1-10 years of experience and >10 years of self-perception of effective teaching. This type of research is quantitative. The research method used is comparison. The subjects in the study were elementary school teachers in Central Java who had teaching experience. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire adopted from the TSAC questionnaire. Before the data was analyzed, the prerequisite tests for data analysis were tested for normality and homogeneity tests. Subsequently, the hypothesis was tested using an independent sample t-test (independent sample t-test). The results showed that the t-test calculation results obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0.681 > 0.05. So for the results of the hypothesis test, Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. It can be concluded that there is no difference in self-perception of effective teaching for teachers between teaching experience of 1-10 years and teaching experience >10 years.
