Abstract
The outbreak of the corona virus or Covid-19 has many impacts on various aspects of life, one of which is in the aspect of education. This study aims to determine the relationship between the role of parents in online learning with the psychological well-being of elementary school children. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between the role of parents and psychological well-being. The subjects in this study were 106 guardians of students from SDN Tunjungseto who were doing or had done online learning. This research uses quota sampling technique. The measuring instrument in this study is the psychological well-being scale and the parental role scale. On the psychological well-being scale there are 25 items with validity between 0.75-0.91 and on the parental role scale there are 22 items with validity between 0.66-0.83. Reliability on the psychological welfare scale is 0.707 and on the parental role scale is 0.782. Data analysis was performed by Pearson product moment correlation analysis using SPSS for windows program. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are r = 0.619 and p = 0.000 (p <0.01), indicating that there is a very significant positive relationship between the role of parents and psychological well-being. Based on the categorization results, the subject's psychological well-being is in the high category. This can be seen from the value of RE> RH where the value of RE = 74.62 and RH = 62.5. While the category of the role of parents is in the high category seen from RE>RH where the value of RE = 56.18 and RH = 42.5. The parental role variable gave an effective contribution of 38.31% while the other 61.69% was influenced by other factors such as internal factors and external factors.
