Abstract
The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the structure in the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria, (2) describe the moral values in the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria, (3) determine the relevance of learning in accordance with the novel Writer Vs. Editor's work by Ria N. Badaria based on the moral values found. This type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research design uses content analysis and literature study. The approach used is the sociology of literature. The object under study is the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria. The data in this study are in the form of sentences, expressions and words that contain moral values in the novel. The source of the data used is in the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria. The data collection technique used the listening and note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this study used heuristic reading and hermeneutic reading. The results of this study indicate that (1) the structure of the novel Writer Vs Editor, namely, the theme in the novel is the struggle to realize ideals. The plot in the novel Writer Vs Editor is a mixed plot. The setting in the novel is the cities of Jakarta and Bogor. The main character in this novel is Nuna, by applying the sociology of literature approach to the novel Writer Vs Editor with a focus on the sociology of the author and the sociology of the work(2) the moral values found in the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria are the moral value of responsibility and the moral value of independence. (3) The relevance of the study of moral values in the novel Writer Vs Editor by Ria N. Badaria by studying literature in high school, in the form of the criteria for literary teaching materials found in this study namely, the use of language that is easily understood by students, the psychology of novel Writer Vs Editor can be said to be suitable as teaching material because it already contains everything, the cultural background in this novel also in line with the cultural background of the students, relevance in accordance with this research, namely in Permendikbud No 37 of 2018, there is Kd 3.11 namely analyzing messages from one fiction book that is read.
