Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic affected on everyone, including students. Students as agents of change must be ready to change quickly, even though in reality it is not so. Some students stated that they felt bored with online lectures, felt stress caused by the many tasks that had an impact on decreasing psychological well-being. Psychological well-being can increase again if someone has a tough personality or also called hardiness personality. Hardiness personality has an important role that make individual become strong, optimistic, resistant, stable and confident that they are able to deal hard events such as Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the relationship between hardiness personality with the psychological well-being of students during Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is quantitative. The subjects in this study were 435 Indonesian college students aged 18-21 years. The sampling technique used was insidental sampling. The measurement of hardiness personality and psychological well-being using a scale and then distributed via google form. Before being distributed, the scale was tested for content validity by expert judgment and reliability was tested with Cronbach's alpha; while the hypothesis is tested by using product moment correlation. The results showed that hardiness personality is highly correlated with an r value of 0.695, p < 0.01, with an effective contribution of 48.30%. Thus, it can be stated that hardiness personality contributes 48.30% to psychological well-being. This means that if the higher the value of hardiness, the higher the value of the psychological well-being, the lower the value of hardiness, the lower the value of the psychological well-being.
