Abstract

ABSTRACT In the implementation of the learning process in online learning on the subject of Islamic Religious Education going well, and achieving the objectives of Islamic Religious Education from the teacher must optimize efforts in terms of increasing student interest in learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers and identify the factors that encourage and inhibit teachers' efforts in increasing student interest in learning online for Islamic Religious Education subjects. This research is a field research, with data collection methods, namely, interviews, observations and documents. The validity of the data by technical triangulation. The results showed that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing student learning interest in online learning were: a) motivating students, b) choosing learning methods and delivering material, for the selection of methods there was no special method used to increase students' interest in learning, c ) provision of facilities and their use, for the provision carried out by the school and for utilization for all teachers or students, d) assigning tasks, e) conducting evaluations at the end of learning. Supporting factors are, with the assistance of facilities from schools to allow students to come to school to take part in online learning in the school's computer lab, and the provision of internet quotas from the Ministry of Education and Culture. For the inhibiting factor, which arises from external factors of students' interest in learning, namely, not having an internet quota, problems with cellphone ownership, boredom and laziness of students have emerged to take part in online learning.
