Abstract
The purpose of this research was to explore the materials and procedures used in English teaching vocabulary for eight grade students with mental retardation. This research was descriptive qualitative research. The data was obtained by using observation, interview, and documentation. The data used was the process of teaching vocabulary in English class for eight grade students with mental retardation of junior high school at SMPLB C Kerten Surakarta. The results showed that the materials which taught are social interaction, color, number, things around us, part of body, family and relatives, school, animal, fruit and vegetables, alphabet and calendar. The data was found that the teacher teaches the students by using technology during online learning.
