Abstract
Low back pain is a musculoskeletal disorder that occurs most frequently in society. Low back pain is an uncomfortable sensation in the form of pain in the lower back which can result in limitations when doing activities. Transcutaneouselectrical nerve stimulation is a physiotherapy modality that aims to reduce pain. Objective of this research are to determine the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation on pain reduction in patients with myogenic low back pain. This study uses the literature review method, namely an analysis and synthesis of data from prvious articles and journal between 2010-2020 with a total of 7 articles. The sources of the journals analyzed are case study journal, randomized control trial, literature review, systematica review atau metanalysis. The results of the analysis found 7 selected articles that will be reviewed in the discussion and stated that the provision of therapy using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation can reduce pain and is more effective and safer to use in the long term. Therapy with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is effectively used to reduce pain so that patients can resume activities without limitation in movement.
