Abstract
The current generation is the generation capable of upholding and creating a society that always maintains the Qur'an and Sunnah. To this situation, the role of parents is needed to educate their children so that one day, they become a strong generation in facing a more challenging future. The role of parents is very influential in shaping children's character. Parents must pay attention to formal and non-formal education for their children. It is undeniable that the existence of educational institutions that are specialized in the Al-Qur'an is a real step towards maintaining the authenticity of the Al-Qur'an as well as a means of improving the quality of the ummah so that they always adhere to the Qur'an as a direction for daily life. One of the educational institutions that have the Tahfiz class program (TCP) is Al Abidin Islamic Junior High School in Surakarta. The research questions discussed in this study is the mechanism of the Tahfiz Class Program (TCP) learning method in the featured program at Al Abidin Islamic Junior High School in Surakarta for the 2020/2021 academic year. From the formulation of the problem, it will be known the results of the research objectives. This type of research includes field research. The method used is qualitative methods. This study uses a descriptive approach that describes information about reality in accordance with the variables to be studied. The result is that the Tahfiz learning method used is the tikrar, talqin and other varied methods in the form of listening, reading, tasmi, memorizing then depositing. The Tahfiz class program learning method applied to the flagship program at Al Abidin Islamic Junior High School, Surakarta, is divided into three groups. There is group A, students who have high abilities and are already independent. Group B, students who have moderate ability and group C, students who have low ability. Each study group adjusts the learning method used in order to make the learning process run efficiently so that it can reach the specified target faster.
