Abstract
The purpose of this study is: 1) describe the influence of outstanding motivation on student learning outcomes, 2) describe the influence of the spirit of learning on student learning outcomes, 3) describe the influence of motivation to excel and the spirit of learning to the learning outcomes of students of grade XII SMA Semen Padang. The method used in this study is quantitative with census design. The population and samples in this study are all students of grade XII SMA Semen Padang which is as many as 70 students obtained by technique saturated samples and data collected using questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression, t test, F test, determination coefficient, relative contribution and effective contribution. The result of data analysis obtained linear line equation Y = 72.368+ 0.164 X1 + 0.150 X2. This is proven by the result of Fhitung 4,201 and greater than Ftabel 3.13 (Fcalculate > Ftabel). There was a positive influence of variable motivation to achieve the results of learning to make a relative contribution of 46.84% and effective contribution of 5.2%. There is a positive influence of learning spirit variables on the results of learning to make a relative contribution of 53.16% and effective contribution of 5.9%. The calculation result for the coefficient of determination was obtained by 0.111 which means that 11.1% of learning outcomes are influenced by the motivation of achievement and the spirit of learning
