Abstract

Consumer protection is all efforts to ensure legal certainty to provide protection to consumers. Consumers are every person using goods or services available in society, whether for the benefit of themselves, their families, other people, or other living creatures and not for sale. The background of this writing is legal protection for defective electronic products sold by business actors as seen from the regulations of Law Number 8 of 1999. These goods can be said to be defective, namely when the goods are in the manufacturing period that do not meet existing standards in the form of there are not suitable or have deficiencies related to the condition of the goods, there is not enough information. This type of research is deductive in the form of written or spoken words, pictures, menus, and the content contained in the products offered by penjuals compared to a legal conceptual norm contained in the law concerning consumers.
