Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of disciplinary character education in mathematics learning including planning, implementation and evaluation in MA Negeri 2 Surakarta. The research used is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA MA Negeri 2 Surakarta. Data were collected by means of observation, documentation and interviews. The results showed that the planning of disciplinary character education in mathematics learning at MA Negeri 2 Surakarta, that is the planning of learning was good but not optimal. Some components are not in accordance with existing components, such as learning methods that are not in accordance with the lesson plan, learning media still using lectures, assessments that have not attached written tests, assignments, and scoring as written in the lesson plan. The implementation of disciplinary character education in mathematics learning at MA Negeri 2 Surakarta that is the mathematics teacher has planned the character of the discipline in the RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) which is included in the indicators, learning objectives, learning activities and assessments. The implementation of disciplinary character education in mathematics learning at MA Negeri 2 Surakarta, namely (1) teachers and students open learning by reading the Koran, Asmaul Husna, and the teacher's attendance for students; (2) the teacher divides students into several groups and guides students to be able to discuss well; (3) the teacher and students conclude what they have learned. Evaluation of disciplinary character education in mathematics learning at MA Negeri 2 Surakarta, namely the teacher carrying out a written test or daily test, where the daily test questions are able to recognize a pattern of regularity, understand the agreed rules and concepts where the concept should not be violated because can be misleading.
