Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on firm performance and innovation ability as a mediating variable study in the SMEs Surakarta. The data of this research use primary data through questionnaires and secondary data from the data of the SMEs Surakarta Cooperative Office and the updating data of the SMEs Surakarta. The sample selection in this study used a non-probability sampling approach with a purposive sampling technique. The sample used by 100 SMEs respondents in the city of Surakarta and analyzed using PLS-SEM through the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. Methods of data analysis in evaluation research of the outer model and inner model. The results showed that (1) Corporate Social Responsibility has a insignificant effect on firm performance. (2) Corporate Social Responsibility has a significant positive effect on innovation ability. (3) The ability of innovation has a significant positive effect on firm performance. (4) The ability of innovation to significantly mediate between Corporate Social Responsibility and firm performance
