Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and job appraisals on employee performance with motivation as an intervening variable at PT Pan Rama Vista Garment Industries Karanganyar. The sample used in this study were 140 employees who used a questionnaire to collect data. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling, namely getting a sample that is not planned, but by chance, that is, the subjects are available to the researcher when the data collection is carried out. The data analysis technique uses structural equation analysis (SEM) to produce validity, reliability, classic assumption tests using multicollinearity testing and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that the compensation variable has a positive and significant effect on motivation, but has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, the job appraisal variable has a positive and significant effect on motivation, and has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. employee performance, and can positively and significantly mediate between compensation for employee performance, and positively and significantly mediate between job appraisals and employee performance.
