Abstract
Mastery of the concept of science is something thing important in learning. Some of them is the mastery of concepts in the material of force and motion. Different perceptions of conceptual understanding in the form of wrong delivery can lead to misconceptions from an early age. This study aims to: a) determine the percentage of students 'level of understanding on the material of force and motion at the Superior MI Unggulan Masjid Besar Jabalul Khoir Purwodadi, b) to describe the students' misconceptions on the material of force and motion at the MI Unggulan Unggulan Masjid Besar Jabalul Khoir Purwodadi. This research is a combination of quantitative and qualitative research types. The research subjects were 20 fifth grade students at the MI Unggulan Masjid Besar Jabalul Khoir Purwodadi. Data analysis techniques usingThree-Tier Multiple Choice Diagnostic Test. The results showed that 58% of students understood the concept of force and motion (magnetic force, the effect of friction, and the effect of force on objects), 37% of the students had misconceptions on the concept of the effect of the earth's gravitational force and the spring force, guessing was 2.2% on the material effect of force. Magnets in everyday life, do not understand the concept of 1.2% in the material change in position caused by force and 1% of students experience not understanding the concept of the material effect of the earth's gravitational force. Overall, the levels of students' understanding and misconceptions on the material of style and motion varied widely. Each point that was worked on, there were several students who experienced misconceptions. According to the criteriathree-tier multiple choice,misconceptionoftenhappened kethicsstudents in answering the first level correctly, the second level part of the reason is wrong, or vice versa.
