Abstract
This study aims to analyze students' errors in solving PISA-oriented math problems in terms of gender, to describe language errors, concept errors, and calculation errors of junior high school students in solving PISA-oriented math problems. This type of research is the Mixed Method Research. This study used two subjects of class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Eromoko for each different error. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that there are differences in the errors in solving PISA-oriented math problems between male students and female students. The language errors show that students are still not fully able to master the language of mathematics so that they cannot change the questions into mathematical form correctly. The conceptual error shows that students have not been able to apply and write what formulas are known and asked from PISA-oriented math problems correctly. The arithmetic error shows that students are less careful in calculating because they do not master calculations. To correct student mistakes, it would be better if students are accustomed to working on PISA-oriented math problems.
