Abstract
Introduction : Hypertension is still a big health problem and a big challenge for Indonesia. The results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018 for residents aged ≥ 18 years proved that the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia increased from 25.8% to 34.1%. The two health centers with the highest proportion of hypertension were in Penumping and Pucangsawit health center. Hypertension risk factors are low physical activity behavior and high-fat consumption patterns. Objective : This study aims to patterns of fat consumption and physical activity among hypertensive and non-hypertensive patients in Surakarta. Method : This type of research is descriptive research. The number of samples was 18 people. Collecting physical activity cases by recording physical activity 7 x 24 hours and fat intake obtained through the semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) method. The data is presented descriptively and presented in a frequency distribution table between variables. Result : The results showed that most of the respondents had light physical activity (hypertension group 88.8% and non hypertensive group 66.6%). The consumption of food sources of fat in the hypertensive group most frequently consumed by respondents is palm oil which is consumed 1-3 times (66.6%) and 1-2 times per week (33.3%), while the least consumed by respondents is gizzard. consumed 1-3 times per week (22.2%), 4-6 times per week (11.1%), 1-3 times per month (33.3%), and> 3 times per month (33.3%). In the non-hypertensive group, the most frequently consumed food sources of fat were palm oil which was consumed 1-3 times per day (88.8%) and 1-3 times per week (11.1%), while the least consumed by respondents Beef is consumed 1-3 times per week (33.3%), 1-3 times per month (44.4%), and> 3 times per month (22.2%). Conclusion : Physical activity in the Hypertension and Non-Hypertension groups showed a mild category. The consumption of food sources of fat that was most often consumed in the hypertensive and non-hypertensive groups was palm oil, while the ones that were rarely consumed were gizzard and beef.
