Abstract

This study aims to 1) Describe how the suitability of teaching materials with the thematic learning characteristics in the Textbooks Students Beautiful Themes Togetherness Sub Themes Diversity Of My Nation's Culture Grade IV Curriculum 2013; 2) Describe how the suitability of teaching materials with 21st century skills in student textbooks The beautiful theme of togetherness Sub Themes Of Cultural Diversity of my Nation Grade IV Curriculum 2013. The method used in this research is qualitative research method. The type of research used is content analysis. The result of this research is the thematic learning characteristics there are 5 characteristics. And the 5 characteristics found in student textbooks, in learning 1 to 6 of them, namely: 1) student-centered: 2) provide firsthand experience; 3) the separation of subjects is not so clear; 4) present concepts from a variety of subjects; 5) flexible 9 times. While 4C skills there are 4 skills. And the 4 skills found in the textbooks of students in learning 1 to 6 of them, namely: 1) communication; 2) collaboration; 3) critical thinking and problem solving; 4) creativity and innovation.
