Abstract
This research aims to identify the type of pragmalinguistics and to elaborate the intentions of anger expressions reflected on the comments on some protesting videos against coronavirus stay-at-home orders on YouTube. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative which applied the descriptive method. In collecting data, the researcher uses the documentation technique. First, the data were analyzed by using Greenbraum's theory (1996) for identifying the type of pragmalinguistics. Second, the data were analyzed by using Yule's theory (1996) about speech act classification. The result of the research shows that there are 5 types of pragmalinguistics of anger expression. These can be ranked respectively from the highest occurrence to the lowest one. They are complex sentences, simple sentences, compound sentences, noun phrases, and verb phrases. There are 11 intentions of anger expression that can be ranked respectively from the highest occurrence to the lowest one. They are mocking, complaining, accusing, blaming, commanding, disagreeing, suggesting, threatening, criticizing, and asserting.
