This study aims to determine: (1) the relationship between perception of compensation with work motivation for employees, (2) how much influence perception of compensation has on work motivation, (3) knowing the level of perception of compensation for employees, (4) knowing the level work motivation for employees. Based on this problem, the author proposes a hypothesis “There is a relationship between perseption of compensation with work motivation”. The sampling technique uses Population Study. Respondents consisted of 50 employees drawn from all BKPPD Klaten. The study uses a quantitative method with scale to measure the work motivation variable and perception of compensation variable. The data analysis technique uses Product Moment Corelation. The result showed that there was a very significant positive relationship between perception of compensation and work motivation. It means, the higher the perception of compensation, the work motivation increases. The role of perception of compensation for work motivation is 31%, which means that the remaining 69% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, such as age, gender, years of service, personality, learning ability, the adopted value system, and job satisfaction.
