Abstract
This research aims to find out and to describe the English Teachers’ perceptions on English teaching difficulties using online platform during Covid-19 pandemic at SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta in 2020/2021 academic year. This study used descriptive-qualitative methods. The data of this study was obtained from interviewing English teacher of SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta. The subject of this study was the English teacher of SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta. The object of this research was the English teaching difficulties in Teaching English using online platform during COVID-19 pandemic at SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta based on the interview result. The technique of analyzing data used hermeneutic phenomenological. The results of this study were (1) The Application Used in Teaching English during COVID-19 Applied By The English Teacher of SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta were Youtube, Zoom, Google Form, and Whatsapp, (2) The teacher had some problems in teaching English using online platform during COVID-19 pandemic at SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta, there were: (a) The teacher had difficulty in making schedule, (b) The teacher had difficulty in choosing the best online platform for students, and (c) Unstable network and limited internet quotas.
