Abstract
This study aims to describe: (1) The Effect of Intelligence Ability on Career Decision Making. (2) The Effect of Socio-Economic Status on Career Decision Making. (3) The Effect of Intelligence Ability and Socio-Economic Status on Career Decision Making. This type of research uses associative quantitative research with a survey design. The research population was 107 students of class XII SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong, 84 students were taken with the technique of proportionate random sampling by lottery. Prerequisite Test with Normality, Linearity, and Multicollinearity Test. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation with validity and reliability tests. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression including the F-test, t-test, test R2 Effective Contribution (SE), and Relative Contribution (SR). The linear regression equation Y = 25.920 + 0.258 X1 + 0.359 X2 means that career decision making is influenced by intelligence ability and socioeconomic status. The conclusions are: (1) Intelligence ability affects Career Decision Making, with a value tcount 4.091> 1.989 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (2) Socio-Economic Status influence on Career Decision Making, tcount 6.148> 1.989, a significance value was 0.000 <0.05. (3) Ability of Intelligence and Socio-Economic Status influence on Career Decision Making, evidenced Fcount 30.312 > 3.111 and a significance value was 0.000 < 0.05. The SE Intelligence Ability variable was 13.87% and the SR was 32.4%. The SE socioeconomic status variable was 28.96% and SR was 67.6%. Determinant coefficient of 0.428 42.8% the remaining 57.2% influenced by other variables not examined. If there is an increase in the combination of two independent variables, it will be followed by an increase in career decision making. For further researchers, it is expected to add other independent variables.
