Abstract

This research is a research about Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. The purpose of this study is to explain how the principles of a professional character in the field of work. female character, Louise is a nurse who is currently treating a patient named Will Traynor who is now paralyzed after an accident two years ago. This research is a qualitative research applying the content analysis method. The object of this research is a novel called Me Before You written by Jojo Moyes in 2012 and the data are sentences related to a professional character named Louise. Data analysis is done by grouping and categorizing data to find conclusions. To obtain reliability, researchers carefully read and reread the novel and then record the data in a systematic framework based on theory. The results of this study address two points, the first point is sociology analysis which is then shown into four categories: 1) the peak of Will's life after meeting Louise, 2) after experiencing an accident will change the life of Will 3) the efforts made by Louise for Will 4) Louise's efforts to prevent Will from committing suicide. The professional analysis of the characters aims to make a role model in social circles in other fields of research.
