Abstract
The purpose of this study are: (1) Describe the difficulties of students in learning mathematics fourth grade students of SD N 1 Kemusu, (2) Describe the involvement of teachers in overcoming student learning difficulties in mathematics class IV SDN 1 Kemusu, (3) Describe the constraints of teachers in overcome the learning difficulties of students in mathematics learning grade IV SD N 1 Kemusu. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data in this study uses source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the type of student learning difficulties in mathematics is a less conducive classroom condition, it is difficult to memorize mathematical formulas, it is difficult to distinguish types of multiplication and division, unable to learn math, unable to see the blackboard clearly, difficulties read or count. (2) The involvement of teachers in overcoming difficulties in learning mathematics in students is by giving examples, providing assistance and reprimands, using media available in schools and students' fingers, simplifying the form of formulas, placing students on the front bench, providing training or homework for in the form of questions related to daily life. (3) The obstacle of the teacher in overcoming student learning difficulties is the characteristics of different students, attitudes of children who tend to be indifferent, difficult to control active students.
