Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1) the achievement of the concept model in developing the mathematical problem abilities of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Newung 2, 2) the obstacles in the achievement of the concept of the implementation model to develop the mathematical problem skills of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Newung 2, 3) The solution to the obstacles in implementation of the conceptual achievement model in the ability of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Newung 2. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomological research design. The subjects in this study were 5 students and 1 teacher of class V SD Negeri Newung 2. Data collection techniques used tests, observation, interviews, and documentation to students and teachers of SD Negeri Newung 2. The validity of the data used triangulation of sources and techniques.. Data analysis used three stages, namely: 1) data reduction 2) data presentation, 3) data conclusions / levers. The results of this study, 1) The implementation of the achievement of the model concept in mathematics learning is appropriate, because students are enthusiastic in learning, the steps used are in accordance with the analysis stage of thinking strategies, data presentation, concept test stage. The results of student tests regarding the ability of math problems can be seen from the 5 questions that have been worked on as follows, S1 can master 2 questions only. S2 can master only 1 question, S3 and S4 can master all indicators for 4 questions, can master all indicators for 3 questions 2) The obstacle is that students who have low intelligence, find it difficult to accept the achievement of model concepts in mathematics. 3) the solution is mathematics to be one of the fun lessons using a variety of media, combining with peer teaching learning models
