Abstract

make someone increase in faith and devotion to Allah SWT. Religious value is defined as an effort in education to enhance one's ability, character formation and achievements by connecting the traditions of faith and worship in everyday life. The author examines how to optimize Islamic activities as an effort to increase the religious value of students at MTs Negeri 1 Wonogiri and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the optimization of Islamic activities, in which the researcher focuses on describing the optimization of Islamic activities in increasing student religious value, and identifying supporting factors. and inhibitors of the optimization of Islamic activities.This study used a qualitative type using field studies at MTs Negeri1 Wonogiri. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation from several parts of the school. The data analysis used a phenomenological qualitative approach that began with reducing the data, then presenting the data and drawing conclusions using the deductive method.From the research results it can be concluded that the optimization of Islamic activities as an effort to increase the religious value of students at MTs Negeri 1 Wonogiri, namely by recruiting local teachers with the status of alumni of Islamic boarding schools, enlivening Islamic activities outside routine school activities, making Islamic activities a mandatory activity, using the method interesting learning and linking general lessons with religion, student attendance as evidence of attendance levels as well as implications for reward and punishment, Use of cultural symbols as reinforcement, evaluating. Supporting factors for student health, interest, and motivation, the existence of support from the principal, teachers, parents of students or students, while the inhibiting factors for laziness and lack of seriousness in carrying out activities, student awareness of the importance of the value of worship applied, lack of facilities and infrastructure, and funds to support Islamic activities in schools.
