Abstract

Work readiness in the final semester student environment is a phenomenon that often occurs. This makes this study aims to examine the relationship between self-concept and social support on work readiness of active student organizations. The subjects in this study were students of at least semester VIII who were still active in organizations outside the Solo City campus. The number of respondents is 128 people. The sampling technique uses proportional sampling. The data collection tools used in this research were self-concept scale, social support scale, and job readiness scale. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 16.0 auxiliary program. The results of data analysis showed a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a very significant relationship between the variables of self-concept, social support and job readiness, so that the researcher's hypothesis is proven. Based on the correlation data analysis between self-concept variables and job readiness, the coefficient value (rxy) = 0.742 with sig. p = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and job readiness. The correlation between social support variables and job readiness is obtained by a coefficient value (rxy) = 0.547 with sig. P = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is a positive relationship between social support and job readiness. These results indicate that there is a significant relationship between self-concept variables and social support on active student organizational readiness. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that this study has a significant relationship between self-concept and social support for job readiness in final year students who are active in organizations outside the campus in Solo City.
