Abstract

Illegal levies are levies made by a person or civil servant or state official by requesting payment or an amount of money that is not appropriate or not based on the relevant regulations. This is often likened to extortion, bribery or corruption. Because the practice of extortion is considered to have damaged the joints of the life of the community, nation and state and is also very unsettling to the community, therefore it is necessary to eradicate in a firm, integrated and effective manner and capable of causing a deterrent effect. Therefore, the Government based on Article 2 of Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2016 has established a Task Force to Clean Up Illegal Levies in Indonesia. The task force is formed in every region in Indonesia, including in Jepara Regency so that the role of the extortion team in tackling corruption can run optimally. This writing uses a qualitative approach method. Analyzed qualitatively to see the relationship and suitability between the data for later conclusions. Conclusions are drawn using the deductive method, with general data to see the problems in the cases that occurred in Jepara.
