Abstract

KH Ahmad Dahlan is one of the national education figures who developed the concept of Advanced Education. The world has now arrived at the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The period where the digital and physical worlds are integrated, through digitization and automation. The purpose of this study is to explore the concept of advanced education by KH Ahmad Dahlan, the characteristics and challenges of the 4.0 industrial revolution and its relevance, especially in basic education. The research used is qualitative with data collection methods in the form of literature studies, expert interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in the form of thematic data reduction with a philosophical-historical approach, critically interactive. Tested by two techniques, namely credibility and comfirmability. The results of this study: 1. The industrial revolution 4.0 is a series of stages of the industrial revolution with the characteristics of technological developments. The challenges in the industrial revolution era include the era of disruption, education 4.0. 2. Developed Education KH Ahmad Dahlan is a holistic-integrative education concept that integrates all components of science, environment and individuals dynamically-creative-dialectically, based on Islamic religious values and interacting social life. Muhammadiyah basic education is managed by the Primary and Secondary Education Majlis. 3. The relevance of advancing education in the industrial revolution era. a. Character education contained in advanced education is able to answer the challenges of an era of disruption full of uncertainty. b. Higher education (HOTS) in education 4.0 as a skill that must be fulfilled can be extracted from the commotion of Al-Ma'un c. Society 5.0 as an effort to make technology for human advancement also has something in common with the concept of integration in advanced education
