Abstract

In the research conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Surakarta, there were still students who read the Koran less fluently and it was seen from the students' achievement in reading the Koran that it was not optimal. So to improve student achievement in reading the Al-Quran by holding a Tahfidz Al-Quran class program. The formulation of the problem in this study is what methods are used in the learning of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Surakarta and how to improve students' abilities towards learning in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Surakarta. The purpose of this research is to describe the method used in the learning of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Surakarta and to describe the improvement in the ability of the learning methods in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an class in SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Surakarta. This type of research is field research at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta and the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study were the results of interviews with Mr. Hastono Nur Wahyudi S.PdI. While the subjects in this study were teachers and students and the object in this study was the application of the methods used in the Tahfidz Qur'an class learning and believed in using the Tahfidz Qur'an classroom learning method. Data research techniques on interviews, observation and documentation. Researchers write data analysis by means of data reduction, data display and data levers. Data analysis was used deductively. The results showed that the increase in the increase of students in reading Al-Quran and students in reading Al-Quran verses and student achievement scores also increased.
