Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia is classified as low, it can be seen from the results of PISA 2018. Indonesia is ranked 6th from the bottom so an assessment is needed to improve students' high-level thinking. This study aims to develop an assessment instrument for mathematics learning oriented to higher order thinking skills (HOTS) so that students can get used to dealing with higher-order thinking questions. The method used in this research is research and development methods. The overall data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The assessment instrument developed was deemed feasible and effective for teachers to use to get the final results of students.
