Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between parents and cyber bullying behavior, and to examine the relationship between self-control and cyber bullying behavior in private junior high schools in Sragen. In this study, it occurs in parents and self-control is an external and internal factor that carries out cyber bullying behavior. To achieve that children do not engage in cyber bullying behavior, it is necessary to oblige negative parents and self-control so that they have an influence on cyber bullying behavior. The research method used a quantitative approach with a measure of cyber bullying behavior on a parental scale and a self-control scale. The data were collected through googleform assistance with probability random sampling techniques to 100 respondents with the criteria of students of class VII and VIII SMP private schools in Sragen using social media. Data analysis was performed with Spearman Rho non-parametric correlation with the help of SPSS for windows version 2.3 based on the results of the analysis between variables related to bullying behavior obtained by the value (r) - 0.580 and (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05) meaning there is a relationship. negative significant between the variable warning parents with cyber bullying behavior, then in the self-control variable with bullying behavior the value (r) - 0.724 and (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is a significant negative relationship between the control variables yourself with cyberbullying behavior
