Abstract
The aim of this research is to compare financial performance of Islamic Banks vs Conventional Banks in Indonesia for the 2016-2018 period with the RGEC (Risk Profile, GCG, Earnings, Capital) method. The sample used was 10 Islamic Banks and 10 Conventional Banks with purposive sampling. This research used descriptive analysis to know financial performance thoroughly and independent sample t test. The study revealed that General Conventional Banks have better performance based credit risk, earnings, while on liquidity risk, Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and capital there are no significant differences.
