Abstract

Undergraduate thesis is one of term that must be accomplished by university student to get bachelor degree. The various impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are felt by students, especially final year students.The large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that implemented by the government become the obstacles during conducting research. The aims of this study is to investigate the difficulty faced by Biology Education students of FKIP UMS in writing thesis during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The sampling technique of this research is proportional random sampling. Closed questionnaire and interview was design to find out the difficulies in writing thesis. The results showed that Biology Education students of FKIP UMS experienced difficulties in the examination process (78.90%), guidance process (74.05%), data collection (69.67%), and finding literature (68.86%).
