Abstract

This study aims to: (1) To analyze the form of cultural acculturation in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati by Ahmad Fuadi, (2) To obtain a clear, objective, systematic, and accurate picture of the facts obtained from words, phrases, and sentences in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati, and (3) To describe the relevance of the results of research in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati of Ahmad Fuadi's work as literary teaching material in schools. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection used in this study is the technique of note taking and library research. The data validity technique uses the method of data source triangulation and theory triangulation. In data analysis techniques using content analysis (Content Analysis). The results of this study are getting an intrinsic element in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati by Ahmad Fuadi by recording language exposure in the form of words, sentences and paragraphs contained in the novel and concluding the analysis results according to the research and grouping texts that contain aspects of cultural acculturation and classifying according to the anthropological approach to literature, as well as the relevance or relevance as literary teaching materials in schools. And also able to produce intrinsic elements in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati.
