Abstract
Elderly or elderly is someone who has reached the age limit of 60 years or more. Increasing the number of elderly globally and nationally has broad implications in family, community and state life. WHO issued guidelines for elderly friendly cities in 8 dimensions aimed at responding to demographic phenomena, namely population aging and the level of urbanization. In addition to maintaining the quality of health, the elderly also need a physical and social environment that takes into account the characteristics and needs of the elderly. This study aims to determine how the perception of the elderly about the city of solo as an elderly-friendly city. The study was conducted in January-February with quantitative descriptive methods. The sampling technique using total sampling technique. The sample in this study were 57 people by means of a questionnaire. The analysis used is univariate analysis. The results of research on the Perception of Elders About the City of Solo as a Friendly City in the Danukusuman PWRI showed that respondents who stated positive perceptions were 31 respondents with a percentage of 54.4%. The results of the study which stated negative perceptions were 26 respondents with a percentage of 45.6%. for further researchers, it is expected that in selecting more samples, changing the questionnare questions with sentences that are easily understood by the eldery but does not change the purpose of the questions given, more reviewing the factors that influence perception.
