Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on the Profitability of Automotive and Component Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data source used in this study is secondary data. The data used in this study are in the form of Automotive and Financial Company financial statement data which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study is the Automotive and Component Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique, obtained a sample of 9 companies. The method of data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis which was previously carried out research with classical assumption analysis. Hypothesis testing uses the t statistical test, the F statistical test, and the Coefficient of Determination (R2). The results of this study indicate that the Current Ratio (CR) has a positive and not significant effect on Return On Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a negative and significant effect on Return Pn Asset (ROA), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) has an effect positive and insignificant towards Return On Assets (ROA). F test results indicate together the independent variables (CR, DER, and TATO) affect the Return On Asset (ROA). The results of the coefficient of determination (R2) test show that 36.7% of the profitability (ROA) of Automotive Companies and Components listed on the IDX are explained by CR, DER, and TATO variables, and the remaining 63.3% is explained by other variables outside the model.
