Abstract

ABSTRACT The managerial director of a school is the ability and authority to plan, manage, manipulate, develop, and control the existing activities at school effectively and efficiently to achieve school goals. Researchers examined the managerial competence of the headmaster of schools in the country's 1 kartasura high school to describe the managerial competence of the headmaster at the country's junior high school and described the principal's efforts to increase professional competence of teachers at the country's junior high school. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation from various parties of the elements of the school. And the deductive analysis that departed from public events was reduced to special parts. Based on the research that has been done by researchers, researchers have been able to draw the conclusion that a managerial act by the principal is the first, program planning involves an initial process of planning, a strategy designing program planning, a standard or indicator of how the director's management will affect the director's managerial walk. Second, divide routine duties and explanations of work and responsibility, build good communication with all school residents, provide motivation to colleagues in order to walk effectively and efficiently in achieving goals, managing resources, managing relationships with parents and society. Third, evaluate programs include follow-up programs, and the influences felt after the evaluation. With several attempts made by the headmaster to improve teacher professional competence, among them always coordination and building effective communication to create a strong educational system with execution always doing day to day communication, also doing coordination in every job received. Empowering teamwork in school, which is to form a few teams inside the school, the teachers' team of subjects within the school, the homeroom teachers' team, the vice principal team (curriculum, students, tools and infrastructure, public relations).
