Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) Determinee the types of conjunctions in student essays inside the school wall magazine (2) Describe the use of conjunctions on student essays inside the school wall magazine. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. A qualitative research approach that produces data in the form of written or oral words from people and observed behavior. This research data in the form of fragments of sentences contained in student essays contained in the wall magazine at the Pangkalan Bun 1 High School school allegedly containing misuse of conjunctions. Sources of research data obtained in the school wall magazine. Data collection techniques in the study used the listening method which was carried out by listening. The listening method is then continued in the note taking technique which means recording data that is judged right in the study of conjunction analysis in the form of fragments of student essays written in the school wall magazine. The method used in the analysis is the aggregate method. The distribution method is a method whose determination is in becoming part of the language (langue) concerned. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation. The results showed that: The results showed that there were many errors of using conjunctions in the essays of these students. Learning to write stories in schools until now is still not considered an important learning, so the impression that appears in students in making essays is not in accordance with the rules of language that apply.
