Abstract
This study aims to analyze and test. (1) the effect of discovery learning based on think talk write based on mathematics learning outcomes of Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School students. (2) the effect of students' mathematical connection ability on mathematics learning outcomes of Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School students. (3) the interaction between the learning model and students' mathematical connection ability to the mathematics learning outcomes of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura students. This type of research is an experimental study with a quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all grade VII students of the odd semester of Muahammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School in the 2019/2020 school year. The research sample consisted of three classes, namely the experimental class I which was treated with discovery learning based on think talk write, the experimental class II which was treated with discovery learning, and the control class that was given conventional treatment. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. This research data collection technique uses the documentation and test methods. Data analysis techniques used two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells with a significance level of 5%. Based on testing the hypothesis, it was concluded that. (1) there is an influence of discovery learning learning model based on think talk write on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) there is an effect of students' mathematical connection ability on mathematics learning outcomes, (3) there is no interaction between learning models and mathematical connection abilities on mathematics learning outcomes.
